Presenting our Roseland Youth of the Year

Even in this most unconventional of years, many of our Members found ways to thrive. While we were unable to have our traditional Youth of the Year ceremonies, our Roseland District staff took the time to recognize one Member who exemplified all the elements that the annual award represents - high character, personal growth, academic performance, and leadership qualities.

Drumroll, please…

We are pleased to announce Yareli F., 5th grader at Sheppard Accelerated Elementary School, as the Roseland District Youth of the Year! 🎉🌟

”Yareli is an amazing Member! She joined in August 2020 and quickly adapted to all the safety and social distance guidelines. She has not stopped helping our younger members with schoolwork and Boys & Girls Clubs programs, “ said Mirla Gaxiola, Club Director at the Sheppard Elementary Club. “Yareli is an amazing motivator and role model. When other Members are feeling down, she is always there to talk to them and lift their spirits. She is committed to help our younger kids in any way she can.”
