$1.6 Million Raised for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin at Sonoma County Wine Auction
The funds raised at wine auction will help build a large Boys & Girls Club complex in Roseland that will include an elementary school club as well as a teen center and a gymnasium. “We estimate the project will cost around $15 million and the 1.6 million raised through the Sonoma County Wine Auction Fund-A-Need is an amazing kick off to our campaign,” said Jennifer Weiss, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma – Marin.
“We currently serve one thousand kids in Roseland at five locations but have been disheartened by the fact that there are 1,000 kids waiting on the waiting list. It’s our vision to raise the entire community out of poverty by helping young people become caring productive and responsible adults. This means every child. We provide meals, homework help and so many life-enhancing enrichment programs.”
