Club Impact: Rosa & Edgar
In October, we met a family from Geyserville who desperately needed a place to learn and grow. Rosa & Edgar were referred to us from the elementary school and had not completed a single assignment all school year.
Since joining our Distance Learning Club, we have been working diligently with the school staff and Rosa & Edgar in an effort to catch up. Together, we have been chipping away at the old assignments and getting closer to being completely done with all the work of the Fall Semester. Our Club team is making sure they are attending all of their Zoom Classes daily. We've been told it has been like night and day since they've started with us. Their teachers say it's immediately noticeable if they take a day off from the Club.
We’ve noticed a change in Rosa & Edgar, too. When they first started at the Club, they disliked schoolwork and really struggled to stay motivated. Now, they are completing work daily and on-time, and are both happy and excited to learn! It's been a trek for everyone, and we are so happy to have them at the Club.
Their teachers and principal have thanked us tremendously for helping the kids be successful. We can’t wait to watch them thrive in school and at the Club this spring!
